Friday Favourites: Our Restroom

Hei!

Here we are starting a new part of the blog and vlog called Friday Favourites. This is a space for me to talk about things I like and would recommend for others to check out! The favourites can be anything and everything from favourite new music artists to favourite ways to get through rainy days.

This weeks Friday Favourite is:

OUR RESTROOM

"OUR Restroom (One Unisex Restroom) is an initiative that works to educate business owners about the importance of taking gender out of the equation when it comes to single-stall restrooms. Patrons of local businesses can use our website to access free, informative materials to help businesses better understand the importance of unisex restrooms for transgender & gender non-conforming folks, as well as for many others in the larger community!"

This is a project that is very close to my heart as a genderqueer being! Public bathrooms can create an uncomfortable feeling and by educating businesses regarding their bathrooms they will be much more welcoming to more people!

By educating businesses one bathroom at a time, it is also raising awareness on gender and the issues many people are facing in their everyday life.

Our Restroom's is currently fundraising on Indiegogo, and it is on it's last few days!

The prizes are pretty amazing, including t-shirts, music and even a dinner with the creators Kristin Russo and Allison Weiss!!!
